The Beauty of Montalban

                              AVILON ZOO           Avilon Zoo is currently the Philippines' largest zoological institution in terms of geographical size and animal collection. More than 3,000 exotic animal specimens representing more than 600 species of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, freshwater fishes, and invertebrates are housed in the 7.5-hectare (19-acre) complex in Rodriguez, Rizal. The zoo houses a diverse collection of Philippine native wildlife, the majority of which have been successfully reared in captivity thanks to Avilon's ex situ conservation efforts.                                        C6 Road           The c6 road is famous in Montalban and it is frequented by bikers and riders and some players. Due to the length of this trail, bikers drive it so that they can practice here. Players also visit it so that they can practice here. The Montalbenos also flock to it every afternoon to hang out because of its beautiful scenery. Some are used to hanging out here.

                              The Hilltop Garden           The hilltop garden is one of the prominent places in Montalban. It is frequented by Montalbeno and tourists because of the beauty of the place and strong winds at the top. The hilltop garden is also commonly used to host events such as birthdays, debuts, receptions and more. There is an entrance fee to enter the hilltop garden, 50 pesos each.

                                 PAMITINAN CAVE           Pamitinan Cave is a limestone cave near Wawa Dam in Rizal, Philippines, in the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountain range. It's in the Pamitinan Protected Landscape, in the barrio of San Rafael, Rodriguez municipality. Previously, the cave was known as the "Cave of Bernardo Carpio." Its previous name was Bernardo Carpio, a person in Philippine mythology who was chastised by the gods for his arrogance. According to legend, he was condemned to be chained eternally in the Montalban gorge, preventing two mountains from clashing. Inside this cave, on April 12, 1895, Andres Bonifacio and eight other katipuneros declared the Philippines' independence from the Spanish dominion.   WAWA DAM               Wawa Dam is a gravity dam constructed over the Marikina River in the municipality of Rodriguez in Rizal province, Philippines. The slightly arched dam is situated in the 360-metre high Montalban Gorge or Wawa Gorge, a water gap in the Sierra Madre Mountains, east of Manila. It was built in 1909 during the American colonial era to provide the water needs for Manila. It used to be the only source of water for Manila until Angat Dam was built and Wawa was abandoned in 1968. Due to insufficiency of water supply for Metro Manila, there was a strong clamor to reuse the dam. The dam and surrounding area is currently protected as part of the Pamitinan Protected Landscape.

HISTORY OF MONTALBAN (RODRIGUEZ)         Rodriguez, officially the Municipality of Rodriguez (Bayan ng Rodriguez), formerly known and still commonly known as Montalban, is a 1st class municipality in the province of Rizal, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 443,954 people  making it as the most populous municipality in the country. It is the northernmost town in the province and comes after San Mateo, Rizal, and Quezon City coming from Metro Manila.
